I just got word that one of my poems has been accepted for a 2013 issue of The Other Herald. The editor wanted me to change the poem’s title to something simpler since there’s a lot going on in the piece. I’m honestly not attached to the title it had, so I told her to go ahead and change it.
I’m so excited to see my work published in a journal other than my university’s. Not that St. Bonaventure’s The Laurel isn’t a great publication, but still.
Oh, and the poem is written in blank verse. Who says traditional poetry is dead?
