Forgetting and a New Writing Project

ImageI was supposed to weigh in this morning before eating or drinking, but I completely forgot as I had to shovel snow off my car and run to cover an open school board forum for work. Oh well. I did weigh myself before lunch. The scale showed me at the same weight as last week, which is fine with me.

Besides starting my weight loss journey, I’ve also started a new writing project. I need something to tide me over until Camp NaNoWriMo in April and I’ve lost inspiration for the novel I’ve been plugging away on. This new piece is written in diary entries and focuses on a young girl who, after being caught shoplifting, is sent to her grandmother’s house in the country. The girl soon realizes the house is haunted and that her grandmother may not be who she seems.

I’m excited to write the story, as I’ve never written in this form before. I’m not sure if it will end up a short story, novella or novel. I guess I’ll find out soon enough!
